Selling Art in the Rain at Arts and Crafts Festival

rain post imageAs you may know the southeast region has been drench with ongoing rain. Just these past two weeks I have had three shows at different art festivals and they were all infiltrated with rain. And I have to tell you, it wasn’t easy. There were a lot of setbacks and disappointments. If you are not prepared for getting wet, moving tent out of water puddles or trying to keep from catching the flu your are in for a big surprise. You may be thinking, why would I want to put myself in those condition just to sell artwork. Well let me tell you, with rain taking place for two weekends in a row I would still have to say it was worth it because in between the time when it did not rain, I made some sales. With in these past two weeks I made 2,734.39 dollars even with it raining as much as it did. Hey, some money is better than no money. I would just like to leave you with this, definitely be prepared for a rain but also be optimistic. You will never know how your show may turn out even with setbacks.
